Template workspaces now include package.json

September 10, 2026 · release

@voicethere/agent 0.7.8

Dashboard agent templates now seed a root package.json alongside template TypeScript. Use the same manifest locally with @voicethere/cli and @voicethere/agent scripts.

Details

New seeded projects get package.json with @voicethere/agent, npm scripts (build, verify, upload, deploy, source:push, source:pull), and extra deps such as ioredis on Redis templates.

Existing workspaces without a root manifest are not auto-migrated. Open the project Code tab and use Add package.json when you want the starter file in your tree (save when ready).

You can also create package.json with New file. Same workspace locally and in the dashboard.

Dashboard compile still ignores scripts and strips image-provided packages (@voicethere/agent, @types/node); scripts are for local tooling.

Try it

  1. Sign in at app.voicethere.io.
  2. Create a project from a seeded template. Open Code and package.json appears in the file tree.
  3. For an older or blank project, use Add package.json on the Code tab.
